April 23, 2026 – BrosMed announced that the Eagle™ workhorse coronary guidewire has received certification under the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR), marking an important milestone in the coronary intervention portfolio and enabling broader access to the European market.
The Eagle™ workhorse coronary guidewire is designed to facilitate the delivery of interventional devices during PCI procedures. Engineered as a versatile workhorse guidewire, the Eagle™ features a core-to-tip steel wire design for enhanced support during device delivery. Optimised tip shaping with durable shape retention supports precise branch selection, helping to improve procedural efficiency. The Eagle™ also delivers excellent torque control for precise handling, allowing smooth and responsive rotation during vessel navigation. The 3 cm radiopaque distal tip enhances visibility under fluoroscopy. Furthermore, the advanced distal hydrophilic coating and proximal PTFE coating enhance lubricity, ensuring smooth tracking in complex anatomies.
Combining enhanced support, precise torque response, and reliable tip durability and smooth crossability, the Eagle™ workhorse coronary guidewire is designed to serve as a dependable workhorse for daily PCI procedures.
